Review: Gillette Venus & Olay Sugarberry

The Venus & Olay razor’s 5-blade technology exfoliates for surface skin renewal, while Sugarberry-scented Olay Moisture Bars help lock in skin’s moisture for less dryness.

I confess. In the colder months, I admit that I usually only bother shaving my legs once a week. Eek! I know that’s terrible, but in my defence I don’t really see the point in it when I’m wearing tights and pants all the time, right?

But with Summer just around the corner, I am back to keeping my legs in check! Sexy, smooth, summer legs is what I want and I’ve found a way to get it!

The Gillette Venus & Olay Sugarberry razor is unlike any I have used before. Each cartridge consists of 5 blades with Olay moisture bars, giving you not only a very close shave but it also locks in moisture making your legs feel beautifully soft and smooth.

The best thing though is the fact that those moisture bars are Sugarberry scented and smell absolutely divine! I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it, as I really wasn’t expecting it to smell this good.

Overall, I think that if razors are your preferred hair removal method – then you need to check this out!

The price isn’t that bad either, it retails for $15.99 for the razor and $22.49 for the replacement cartridges. You can find them at all leading pharmacies and supermarkets.

Review: Pantene Beautiful Lengths

Split ends can lead to breakage, making hair growth difficult. Beautiful Lengths Strengthening Shampoo and Conditioner fortifies against damage that leads to breakage so you can grow your hair longer.

When it comes to split ends, it’s safe to say that years of straightening and colouring my hair, have definitely caught up with me.
Once I finally decided to try and go back to my natural hair, I quickly realised that it was going to take a while to reverse the years of damage I had caused.

My hair used to go down to my waist (before I discovered the GHD!), and now it barely goes past my shoulders. I have been trying everything to get my hair to grow, but until now nothing has had any effect whatsoever.

I have been using the Beautiful Lengths Shampoo and Conditioner for a few weeks now, and not only does my hair actually feel much healthier than before, but I swear it has actually grown! I thought I was imagining it, but both my family and my partner have commented on it. Yay!

I’m definitely going to continue using this as I love the way it makes my hair feel, and if it’s helping it grow then that makes it a definite keeper! Make sure you head to your nearest supermarket and check out this fabulous range for yourself.

I’m obsessed with my teeth. My sister and Mum are both obsessed with their teeth too, so I’ve started thinking that it runs in the family, haha!
When I say obsessed, what I mean is that I’m one of those people who carry around dental floss and a travel toothbrush in their handbag. I brush my teeth atleast twice a day - but more likely about four times. I also tend to always keep mints on me because I feel like they help make my mouth feel ‘clean’.
Since I brush my teeth so often, I have started worrying about the damage I might be doing to my gums. I’m the first to admit that I’m a little rough when brushing my teeth. My excuse is that I’ve always used a manual toothbrush and feel like I need to put a lot of effort in when brushing!
When I was offered an Oral B Trizone 3000 Power brush to review, I knew I couldn’t refuse. I had literally never used an electric toothbrush before, so was super keen to give it a try.

I often think that the reason I am so obsessed with my teeth is because I am terrified of the dentist. Honestly, I put up with 18 months of taking codeine everyday when my wisdom teeth were coming through before I went to the dentist. And when I finally did go, my worst fears were confirmed – I needed all four wisdom teeth out. After having them all removed (I even had to go to an oral surgeon – never again!!), I was in the most intense pain I’d ever been in. For a solid week. Even after taking codeine and tramadol three times a day, I still felt like I was going to die.

So in all honesty, the first few times I used this Trizone Power brush – I felt like I was at the dentist. And it freaked me out. A lot. I persevered though, and after about a week of using it, I was converted.

The Trizone Power brush not only has a 2 minute timer on it, but it also has a light that actually turns on and lets you know when you are brushing too hard. Like I said, I’m notorious for being too rough on my teeth, so this is the perfect idea for me. The last thing you want is to cause yourself damage in the long run.

Since using it, I’ve noticed that my teeth are even whiter than they usually are, and they feel much cleaner. I thought I might be imagining it, but other people have commented on it too. I am so impressed!

It came with 3 brush heads, so I let my mum use one on her teeth and now she wants to get one for herself. I honestly can’t recommend this enough, I feel like everyone should have one!

Review: Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Day Cream

Total Effects Daily Moisturiser provides the total anti aging power of hydration fused with vitamins and antioxidants for visibly younger-looking skin.

Total Effects fights 7 signs of aging by:
• Minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
• Moisturising to soothe and nourish dry skin
• Balancing color and tone while reducing the appearance of age spots
• Smoothing skin’s texture with gentle exfoliation
• Refining to minimise pore appearance
• Protecting skin’s surface from free radical damage with antioxidants
• Firming skin’s appearance with hydration

I was lucky enough to receive this Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Day Cream from the lovely Fleur at ImpactPR. I had never tried anything from the Olay range before, so I was quite excited to give it a go!
At 25, some of you may think I’m a little too young to be worrying about fighting the 7 signs of aging – but surely you all agree that preventing them for as long as possible is the best way to go right? So I think the sooner you get started, the better!

The first thing I noticed was the very gentle fragrance, which is awesome for someone like me who gets irritated by everything. I also didn’t realise how little you actually need to use. One pump was more than enough to moisturise my face, neck and chest!
Because it’s oil-free and fast-absorbing, it doesn’t leave that ‘shiny’ look on my skin that I tend to get from most moisturisers. And it’s non-comedogenic, so it won’t clog my pores!

The main winning point for me though, is that it has an SPF. When you live in a place like New Zealand where the UV rays are really harsh, it’s so important to protect your skin as much as possible.  We all know about the risks of skin cancer, but sun damage is also one of the worst signs of aging!

Overall, I really enjoyed using this product and would recommend it to anyone who like me, wants to protect their skin while at the same time, fight those 7 signs of aging!

Another amazing thing Fleur sent me was the new Vicks Vaponaturals in the flavour Cherry Menthol. She also sent me this adorable little hot or cold pack, look at how cute it is!!

They honestly came at the most perfect time since I have been sick with this flu/infection for over two weeks now. Being the allergy kid that I am, Vicks lozenges are the only ones I’m not allergic to and these Vaponaturals not only taste great, but they have definitely helped soothe my throat.  She was also kind enough to send me some extras when she found out how sick I’ve been. How lovely is that?!
Definitely check out these out if you’re unlucky enough to get sick like me!

Review: Pantene Aqua Light Shampoo & Conditioner

I was lucky enough to receive the Pantene Aqua Light Shampoo and Conditioner in my box of goodies from ImpactPR!
These have actually been a favourite of mine for a year or so now, and after using a range of other hair products, it was really nice to get back into using them again.

Most of you probably already know that my hair is a nightmare! It is naturally curly (2b-2c I think, for those of you familiar with curly hair!) and because it's so out of control all the time, I tend to damage the heck out of it with my hair dryer and straightener. Lately though, I've been wanting to embrace my natural curls a little more, which meant embarking on the huge mission of finding products that make my hair a little more manageable.

The silicone-free formula in the new Pantene Aqua Light shampoo contains groundbreaking water-soluble beads that rinse the hair from root to tip in seconds, leaving it feeling as light as a feather and beautifully nourished.

Those of you with curly hair, will know that silicones in shampoos are a big no no, which makes the Pantene Aqua Light shampoo perfect for us.
I love this shampoo because it makes my hair feel clean, moisturised and doesn't weigh it down! It also smells so good, I dunno what it is, but I love the smell of Pantene products.

Pantene has perfected the science of hair conditioning, with new Aqua Light. Unlike conventional, creamy conditioners, the new formula delivers just the right amount of hair nourishment without weighing it down and leaving it looking heavy. Aqua Light conditioner’s breakthrough Clean Rinse technology is highly water soluble and rinses off fast, leaving hair with no residue and no weight.

Unlike the shampoo, the Pantene Aqua Light Conditioner does actually contain a small amount of silicone. This doesn't really worry me too much, and still seems to work great on my hair. Again, I've noticed that it doesn't weigh my hair down, and leaves it feeling soft and nourished.

Overall, I would definitely recommend these to anyone with curly or unmanageable hair. Even my sister has jumped on the bandwagon with this one and swears that it is amazing for her straight, oily hair.
