Review: Oasis Beauty Tropical Fruit Smoothie

Tropical Fruit Smoothie combines 3 products into 1 - a physical exfoliator, enzymatic exfoliator and smoothing masque.

It is a powerful but gentle multipurpose product for smooth, glowing skin in no time at all.  Jojoba beads combined with papaya and pineapple exfoliate away rough skin.  Then let the natural clays work their magic...and voila!  Super smooth sexy skin.

Exfoliators and face masques quite often slip my mind. Maybe I’m just too lazy to use them. Who am I kidding? I KNOW I’m too lazy to use them. It’s terrible I know, but I always feel like I’m in a rush, so I constantly neglect them.
Then I sit here and wonder why my skin is so terrible. Honestly…

I love that Oasis Beauty decided to create a product that combined exfoliators and a face masque – this is perfect for me! Surprisingly enough, because this saves time – I actually have been using it twice a week without fail.

The results are great! My skin has been looking better than ever! It’s so soft and smooth, the dry patches on my nose and forehead are 90% gone, and I haven’t had even the slightest irritation from using it. That’s pretty amazing, considering it actually feels a little more abrasive than exfoliators I have tried in the past.

To use it, I basically apply it all over my face like a masque and leave it to set for a few minutes. Then I gently massage it into the skin to exfoliate, before finally cleaning it off with warm water. I find this to be the best method for me, but if you prefer you can actually exfoliate first, then leave it on the face to set as a masque, before washing it off with water or a face cloth.

Overall, I am very impressed. My skin looks and feels great, and it’s the perfect way for me to actually remember to use masques and exfoliators.
As a side note: I love the fact there is no fragrance, colour or parabens! And its cruelty free!

Review: Senna Brow Book

Brow expert and Senna founder, Eugenia Weston, designed this super skinny, refillable magnetic palette as the ultimate pro tool to master perfect brows on everyone.

I’m ashamed to admit it, but I neglected my eyebrows for years. And I really do mean years. I didn’t even get them shaped til I was like 20. That’s blasphemy! The only reason that I think I managed to get away with it for so long, is because my eyebrows are so sparse.

These days, I’m happy to tell you that I take much better care of them. Not only do I regularly pluck them, but I also fill them in religiously. When I realised how good they look when I maintain them, I never looked back!

I swear by my Senna Brow Book when it comes to filling in my brows. It has 9 colours in the palette, which makes finding your perfect match incredibly easy. It’s also great for someone like me who occasionally does freelancing, because there literally is a colour to suit everyone.

Left to right, top to bottom: Ash, Auburn, Platinum, Ebony, Taupe, Flaxen, Noir, Espresso, Brunette

As well as the actual brow colours, it also includes Browlite – which is a soft matte brow highlighter, and a Brow Pomade – which adds texture and fullness.

The colour I use is Brunette, and it is perrrfect. It looks so natural, that people don’t even realise that I’ve basically had to draw my eyebrows on. Hahaha. The pigmentation is great, which means you don’t have to spend ages building up the colour.
The Browlite highlighter is alright (nothing too special!) and the Brow Pomade isn’t nearly as good as the Smashbox Brow Tech wax, so I rarely ever use it.

Overall, I think this palette is great and would recommend it to anyone who has a hard time finding a good match for their brows, and it is especially awesome for makeup artists. I bought mine from Camera ReadyCosmetics, but you can also find it on the Senna website.

Current Wish List - what am I lusting over??

The problem with being a beauty addict, is that you constantly discover new things that you become obsessed with. Unfortunately, living in New Zealand doesn't often make finding these things easy! In any case, here's what I'm lusting over lately:

LORAC Pro Palette

Who doesn't want one of these? They are all over youtube and the blogging world at the moment, and I seriously need to get my hands on one...  Does anyone know a NZ seller, or someone that ships to NZ??

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

This looks seriously beautiful. I'm not usually much into highlighters, but I've heard so many good things about this, it makes it hard to resist!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in "Tipsy"

To be quite honest with you, it's not just Tipsy I want in this range - I want all of them! If however, I was to choose just one colour, this would be it. I am a huge fan of coral blushes, and I think this one in particular would be great for someone with my skintone.

Benefit Gimme Brow

I usually use brow powders or pencils to fill in my brows, but this product really has me intrigued! I would love to have something quick and easy to use on days when I'm short on time and don't feel like wearing much makeup - this looks promising!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup

I have heard nothing but good things about this foundation. I love sheer to medium coverage foundations, and this sounds like it would be perfect for me. Urban Decay has long been one of my favourite brands, but I have never had the chance to try their foundations.

So.. if anyone feels like getting me an early christmas prezzy, don't let me stop you! Hahaha

Top 5: Current Faves

I realise I haven’t done one of these kinda posts in a long time, so I thought I would share my Top 5 current faves with you.  In no particular order:

Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector for Oily/Combination Skin

BB Creams are very hit or miss with me, some are great... others are terrible. But since I’d heard nothing but good things about this, it was time to bite the bullet and get it.
The coverage is that of a sheer foundation (as opposed to a tinted moisturiser!), the formula isn’t oily or shiny and it seems to stay put really well all day. I also love the fact that it has an SPF - this will be perfect for Summer.
The only thing I don’t like about it, is that it emphasises any dry patches I might have on my face, so I usually use a moisturiser underneath it.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in “Crème Brulee”

Honestly, I love these lipsticks. They are so moisturising and are really nicely pigmented. This one in particular is actually a perfect nude for me, and lately I’ve been wearing it almost everyday!
I have two other colours, but am definitely on the lookout for some more.

Lush Dream Cream

I wrote a review here stating how much I absolutely love this body lotion. It has become a regular in my daily routine, and my skin is loving me for it.

MAC Blushcreme in “Ladyblush”

I actually can’t believe that I forgot about this for so long, it is so beautiful! It's actually the perfect natural blush colour. The best thing about this. is the fact that it just glides on and blends out effortlessly, giving you that "naturally-flushed" look. To set it, you can either apply some of your setting powder, or a powder blush overtop. I kid you not, this will actually last all day.
I’ve also actually used it as a lip colour too, and it works great - especially if you throw some gloss on overtop.

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot – “Vintage Selection”

I have always been a fan of the Paint Pots and this is no exception. It’s described as a subtly, warm-toned, lightened brown with a slightly frosted, champagne sheen. I would definitely agree with that description. It is the perfect all over lid colour, and because they actually dry down and set, they don’t crease! Perfect for those days when you can’t be bothered applying heaps of eye makeup.

Review: Lush Dream Cream

Incredibly soothing body lotion for troubled skin. Dream Cream is Lush’s best-selling product because it makes sore skin feel good again. Chamomile and lavender calm irritations, reduce redness and banish blotches. We also use oat milk, too, which has traditionally been used on troubled skin for centuries. It contains everything nature makes for soothing your skin.

I am a sucker for Lush. I don’t know what it is, but I find it really hard to step inside one of their stores and NOT buy something. Their soaps are especially alluring and I kid you not, I have three of them sitting in my room right at this moment.

Because I always get distracted by the soaps, I hardly ever stop and look at their other products. If I had’ve taken the time to check them out, I probably would’ve bought Dream Cream a looong time ago.

If I was to create the perfect cream for my sensitive skin, this would be it. Seriously.
It does everything a good body lotion should… and more! It’s soothing, very moisturising, absorbs rapidly and leaves my skin feeling soft and silky smooth.
To top it off, it has almost completely cleared up the dermatitis on my hands and legs!

I have been obsessed with this ever since I got it, and I highly recommend that you check it out here if you haven’t already.
